Mini Wood Pallets - Perfect for Mother's Day

An obsession has begun...mini wood pallets made out of wood shims.  This one post started it all.

I saw the tutorial and instantly knew I HAD to make one of my own! One turned into two and then 3 and now I'm working on several more!

So easy - you just paint the wood shims and then use gorilla glue to glue them together - see the tutorial for how to do it.  Also, she painted her shims after she glued them.  I spray paint mine first and then glue.  I think next time I make one, I'll paint afterwards just to see if it makes any difference.

Here is my first one that I made for Easter.  Isn't it fun?  The tail is a yarn pom pom!!

After I made this one, I saw this picture on Pinterest and was inspired even more!

Having worked with washers before to make necklace I knew I could add these to my mini pallets and make them even more fun!  So here's what I came up with next!  A spring time mini pallet - a basket with flowers.  The flowers are metal washers with scrapbook paper Mod Podged on and then Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on top of that.

Then I made one for 4th of July! The stars are metal washers - so cute!

I'm having so much fun with these as you can tell.  I have 3 more I'm working on!!

The US Flag and the Spring Basket mini pallets are for sale at my Etsy store if you want to purchase one...otherwise, have fun making them yourself!
